Colchester & Constable Country

Resort - Suffolk

Overview

From our base in the charming seaside town of Felixstowe with its vibrant centre and wonderful mix of attractions, we explore the Suffolk & Essex countryside and coastline. Here you will discover quaint villages and medieval towns that for centuries have drawn in artists and writers. There are few places in Britain more picturesque than Constable Country in Suffolk. Set within Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this rural landscape was where the painter John Constable was born, and where he painted his most celebrated works. We also visit the historic city of Colchester, former capital of Roman Britain, with important heritage sites to be found around every corner.
