Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel - Overnight in Southern Scotland

  • We’ll travel to our overnight in Southern Scotland.

Day 2 - Outward Travel - Cairnryan to Belfast including Guided City Tour

  • Today we make our way to Cairnryan for our sailing to Northern Ireland. On arrival in the vibrant capital city of Belfast we enjoy an interesting guided city tour seeing the beautiful City Hall, the murals of the residential areas and the instantly recognisable Harland & Wolff cranes. Later in the day we make our way to our mainstay hotel.

Day 3 - Full Day Giant's Causeway & Armagh

  • Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 40,000 basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway stretch out into the sea and have inspired myths and legends for centuries. The Grand Causeway is the largest of the three rocky outcrops and is one of the most photographed sites in the UK.
  • A sacred place, with towering church spires, hilly streets and a lineage that stretches back to St Patrick - Armagh stands out as one of the most enjoyable small cities on the island of Ireland. Rich in culture, it is a delight to stroll along the tree-lined Georgian mall.

Day 4 - Full Day Belfast

  • Enjoy a trip to Northern Ireland's vibrant capital city. Belfast has plenty to offer from High Street shopping to the traditional St George's Market, attractions from the impressive City Hall to modern Titanic Belfast, and a range of pubs where you could enjoy a pint of the 'black stuff' - why not head to the ornate Crown Saloon - one of the city's oldest establishments! With free time in the city, the choice is yours!

Day 5 - Full Day Mountains of Mourne & St Patrick's Centre

  • Enjoy a day taking in the stunning scenery of the Mourne Mountains. With an ‘otherworldly’ feel, this is one of the most picturesque areas on the island of Ireland and the inspiring landscapes inspired CS Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia. We’ll also see Strangford Lough, the UK’s largest sea lough and one of Europe’s key wildlife habitats, before making our way to the St Patrick’s Centre in Downpatrick. The only permanent exhibition in the world dedicated to the life of Ireland patron saint, the displays here explore the legacy of St Patrick from the ancient world to modern day.
