Itinerary

Day 1 - Outward Travel

Day 2 - Full Day Buckingham Palace & Guided tour of London

  • Enjoy a guided tour of capital London, taking in the famous sights from the Houses of Parliament to the River Thames. We'll end our tour close to Buckingham Palace where there will be a little free time before we make our way inside to admire the magnificent State Rooms. One of the most recognisable buildings in the world and focus of national celebrations, make your way into the palace and see the Throne Room, Grand Staircase and fascinating exhibition which changes theme every year. The route through the Palace ends in the delightful gardens where you'll find the charming Garden Cafe and gift shop where you can buy your royal souvenirs!
  • PLEASE NOTE: The tour of the State Rooms takes in several large rooms and halls over two floors and the exit from the palace is via a long outdoor, gravel path (approx 1/3 mile) through the garden and grounds. Step-free access is available but must be pre-booked and cannot be guaranteed.

Day 3 - St Albans Half Day

  • The city’s colourful history can be seen in the Roman remains and the beautiful medieval architecture.
  • St. Alban’s has many delightful buildings and is often used for filming (including Inspector Morse and Foyle’s War).
  • The Cathedral dominates the city's skyline from every approach. It is best known for the shrine of St Alban, Britain’s first Christian Saint.

Day 4 - Windsor & Windsor Castle

  • Today we visit the Royal town of Windsor. A lively place, set in a glorious riverside location with fantastic shopping opportunities and charming cafes. We also visit majestic Windsor Castle – the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. A favourite of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, here you can explore the lavish State Rooms and peaceful St George’s Chapel – the setting of many royal weddings and burial place of eleven monarchs.
