Royal Sandringham & Broads Cruise

Resort - Cromer

Overview

Cromer was once a small fishing village which has now grown into a bustling family holiday resort, with superb sunshine records. This attractive, small resort is full of character with its narrow twisting streets in the town centre and lively seafront promenade behind the sandy beach. Colourful gardens offer quiet relaxation but if you're feeling energetic there are leisure facilities available including bowling greens, tennis courts, squash and golf. During the summer season there's a varied entertainments programme available at the famous Pier Pavilion. Cromer is set amidst the pleasant countryside of North Norfolk with its leafy country lanes, villages with their flint cottages and of course the Norfolk Broads, miles and miles of waterways weaving their way through this unique landscape. On this holiday you will have the opportunity to take a trip on the Broads and visit some of Norfolk's principal sights on our excursions.

  • Excursion to historic Norwich where, in this truly English city it is still a pleasure to wander amongst the medieval streets, particularly cobbled Elm Hill which is full of character.

Day 3 - Wells-next-the-Sea & Sandringham Royal Estate

  • Nestled between Holkham Beach and Blakeney Point, Wells-next-the-Sea is a traditional seaside town where the beautiful sandy beach is bordered by brightly coloured beach huts. Later in the day we make our way to Sandringham Royal Estate – the highlight of our holiday. The private country retreat of Their Majesties, The King Charles III and Queen Camilla, this sprawling Norfolk estate has been linked to the Royal Family for generations. Built by King Edward VII, the house is home to a collection of treasures from the Victorian era to present day and the gardens have been developed by each Monarch as they left their own mark on what is a family home. Admire the majestic exterior and intimate interiors, the beautiful gardens and quaint parish church of St Mary Magdalene where the Royal Family attend on Christmas Day. Our visits includes access to the Dining Room, Sitting Room, Drawing Room and Saloon which are used by the Royal Family when they're in residence as well as the exhibition in the Ballroom which changes every year.
